提起棒球，想必大家都很熟悉，棒球运动在欧美国家是一项风靡全社会的运动，在我们国家年轻人也慢慢走进这项运动。这是一种以棒打球，以团队性、对抗性为主要特征的球类运动项目，结合了跑、跳、投、接、击打等综合运动能力，对队员技术能力和反应力要求较高。

When it comes to baseball, everyone must be familiar with it. Baseball is a popular sport in Europe and the United States, and young people in our country have also been taking part in this sport these days. This is a ball game featuring teamwork and confrontation. It needs comprehensive abilities such as running, jumping, pitching, catching, and hitting. Baseball game also requires sports skills and reflexes of the players. 

棒球运动最早是英国的板球和波士顿地区特有的跑圈子游戏综合产生而来的，最开始的时候没有人给这项混合而产生的运动起名字，经过不断的发展完善，最终被定名为棒球。棒球起源于英国，但是美国人为其制定了规则，在美国得以更好地发展，也培养了一批职业棒球手，在1910年正式把棒球作为美国的国球。

Baseball originated from the combination of cricket in the United Kingdom and the unique  game called rounders in the Boston area. At the beginning, no one gave a name to this mixed sport. With its development and improvement, this sport was finally named baseball. Baseball originated in the United Kingdom, but Americans made rules for it. Baseball game developed better in the United States, and Americans trained groups of professional baseball players. In 1910, baseball was officially regarded as the national ball of the United States.

棒球运动在国际上开展较为广泛，被誉为“竞技与智慧的结合”。这是一项非常注重礼节的运动，比赛前后参赛队员要相互脱帽致敬，握手等，秉承友谊第一比赛第二的理念。如今棒球运动也逐渐国际化，成为一项非常受年轻人喜欢的运动。棒球比赛法定比赛人数最少为9人。棒球队员分为攻、守两方，利用球棒和手套，在一个扇形的棒球场里进行比赛。比赛中两队交替进攻，当进攻球员成功跑回本垒，就可得1分。当防守方的队员（投手）抛出一个球，进攻方的队员试图用棒击球时，比赛就开始了。九局中得分最高的队伍获胜。

Now baseball is gradually internationalized and has become a very popular sport among young people. The minimum players for baseball games are 9. Baseball players are divided into offensive and defensive sides, using bats and gloves to play in a fan-shaped baseball field. In the game, the two teams take turns batting and fielding. When the offensive player successfully runs back to home plate(the place where the player starts as a batter), one point is awarded. The game is in play when a player on the fielding team, called the pitcher, throws a ball that a player on the batting team tries to hit with a bat. The team who gains the highest points in nine innings wins.
